The APLA calendar will be updated as events are planned and will be posted when dates are set.

You may need to check the venue for some of these events closer to the day as some are on-site in the field, some may be modified, and EGPA events may be held at the W.A. School of Mines rather than APLA's Boulder premises where there is more seating available. If you are travelling to Kalgoorlie for these or incorporating into a prospecting trip please ring for updates.

DMP MapWindow training

This system is a Dept Of Mines System and incorporates moving map GPS software for Tenegraph etc and is also friendly with aussie explorer software/Maps. This will be run by Steve Bandy who has been working on getting DMP maps into moving map software systems.

Best you turn up with a Lap top PC (Windows), (not a Apple Mac) and all else will be fine. Software will be supplied at no cost !

Mandurah Branch AGM meeting held at 1.30 pm at the old CWA Hall in Cooper Street, Mandurah. The AGM is where the Committee is elected for the next 12 months and the Three Delegates from the branch that form part of the APLA Executive. All members are urged to attend to vote the office bearers you want to represent you in running APLA and the Mandurah branch.

Mandurah Branch Annual prospecting camp held in Kalgoorlie. All APLA members and family welcome. (Everyone detecting must hold a current Miner's Right and be an APLA member). The annual camp will be held at a good nugget bearing location in the goldfields.

A detector clinic will be held at the camp with instruction sessions on detector use and tuning. The annual treasure hunt will be held at 9.00am on Sunday morning. Happy hour Thursday at 5.00pm.

Campfires (weather permitting) Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Weigh in and prizes at Monday night campfire.

The APLA AGM and State Conference will be held at the Ora Banda Historical Inn and hosted by the EGPA. APLA will organise ongoing field activities for after the conference.

Camping at Ora Banda in the racecourse area is free for self sufficient campers, or powered site or motel accommodation is available at a discount for APLA members. Phone Ora Banda Inn on 9024 2444 for bookings or information, and to register for the APLA BBQ dinner on Saturday night.
